Ameera Rajabali grew up in London in a household of East African and Indian heritage. She received her B.A. in English and German Literature from the University of Warwick and her M.A. in Translation Studies from Heidelberg University. Ms. Rajabali currently works as a subtitler and translator in Berlin. A keen reader, she is inspired in her work by the interdisciplinary nature of translation. This includes the insight into socio-political and cultural discourses offered by the evolving landscape of translated media and literature. Her latest work is the translation of Kisses for Jet by Joris Jas Backer.
